RELATING TO EXEMPTING ROTH INDIVIDUAL RETIREMENT ACCOUNTS FROM ATTACHMENT OR SEIZURE.

Extends the same protection from creditor claims that regular IRA's have to Roth individual retirement accounts. Decreases retirement contributions that may be reached by a bankruptcy debtor's creditors, from those made within three years of the bankruptcy filing or initiation of an action against the debtor, to contributions made within one year of the filing or action. Effective date July 1, 2099. (HB477 HD1)

RELATING TO POOLED INSURANCE.

Repeals the provision in the Insurance Code that limits pooled insurance to construction projects estimated to cost $50,000,000 or more. Effective date July 1, 2099. (HB644 HD1)

For CPH/TGO and CPH/BED resolutions, submit 35 copies and for CPH only resolutions and bills, submit 25 copies to the committee clerk, Room 219, State Capitol, 24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony may also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing. When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.
