RE: S.R. 147

The Senate Committee on Judiciary and Hawaiian Affairs, along with two members of Senate Leadership appointed by the Senate President conducted a hearing on S.R. 147 on October 20, 2003. At the conclusion of the hearing, the Chair indicated that a proposed timetable would be presented to Senate members and the public.

In accordance with S.R. 147, a final report is required no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the 2004 Regular Session or December 31, 2003. In light of this deadline, the following timetable is proposed.

11/10/03 Draft Report circulated to Senate members and interested members of the public. The report will also be posted on the Senate website.

11/24/03 Public Hearing conducted on Draft Report. This date will serve as the deadline for public comment.

12/8/03 Decision Making conducted to adopt Final Report.

12/17/03 Final Report disseminated to Senate and interested members of the public.
