| Description: | Exempts state officials from multiple ethics disclosure filing requirements during an election year if the official's financial position has not changed since the date of the previous filing; makes a confidential disclosure statement of a person who becomes a candidate a public record; lowers the value of a gift that must be reported by a legislator or public employee from $200 to $100; prohibits a public employee from taking official action directly affecting a family member; prohibits state board or commission members from doing business with their board; makes disclosures filed by additional state board members, including the Board of Regents, public records; amends the requirements for the commission to publish notice of its findings when a charge is unsubstantiated; modifies definition of financial interest.
