HB 2250	RELATING TO HABITUAL OPERATION OF A VEHICLE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF AN INTOXICANT. Requires habitual DUI offender to pay driver education assessment, to be assessed for substance abuse or dependence, and to obtain treatment if necessary. Prohibits issuance of new license to habitual DUI offender until period of license revocation expires. Permits court to order offender to reimburse cost of blood or urine testing. Adds conforming references to habitual DUI offenders to use of intoxicants law.	TRN, JUD

HB 2251	RELATING TO CHAPTER 291E. Amends law pertaining to offense of driving while license suspended or revoked for driving under the influence of an intoxicant to include a prior conviction for driving after license has been suspended or revoked for driving while license suspended or revoked for for driving under the influence of an intoxicant. HB 2253	RELATING TO SPEEDING. Makes excessive speeding a petty misdemeanor and establishes penalties including driver's license suspension or revocation, driver retraining, fines, assessments, community service, and imprisonment.	TRN, JUD

HB 2374	RELATING TO CHAPTER 291E, HAWAII REVISED STATUTES. Creates a felony charge for those who drive after a court revokes their license for DUI convictions, and a new criminal offense for those who drive after a court suspends their license for DUI convictions.	TRN, JUD

HB 2527	RELATING TO SPECIAL INTEREST VEHICLES. Expands the definition of "street rod vehicle" and "street rod replica vehicle" to include vehicles manufactured before 1968 or manufactured after 1967 to resemble a vehicle manufactured before 1968.	TRN, JUD

HB 2671	RELATING TO RECONSTRUCTED VEHICLES. Changes exemption from law on reconstructed privately owned motor vehicles to counties with less than 150,000 population, rather than counties with less than 500,000 population.	TRN, JUD

HB 2906	RELATING TO HIGHWAY SAFETY. Adds speeding in excess of 30 miles per hour over the speed limit to offenses for which the driver's license may be administratively revoked.	TRN, JUD

HB 2954	RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES. Increases penalties for excessive speeding. Increases penalties for driving without a license and driving with a suspended or revoked license. Requires proof of valid Hawaii driver's license in order to transfer interest in a motor vehicle.	TRN, JUD
