HB 1786 HD1 (HSCR680-04)	RELATING TO EXEMPT EMPLOYEES. Allows employees in exempt positions who have performed work satisfactorily for five or more consecutive years to apply for intra-departmental and inter-departmental transfers and intra-departmental and inter-departmental promotional exams for which they meet the minimum qualifications. Limits the number of exempt positions (HB1786 HD1)	LBR, WAM

HB 1919 HD1 (HSCR737-04)	RELATING TO PUBLIC EMPLOYEES. Requires the proposed adjustments to compensation and benefit packages for excluded civil service employees to be at least equivalent to the adjustments provided under collective bargaining agreements for counterparts within the employer's jurisdiction.(HB1919 HD1)	LBR, WAM

HB 2580 (HSCR626-04)	RELATING TO STATE OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES EXCLUDED FROM COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AND MAKING APPROPRIATIONS AND OTHER ADJUSTMENTS. Appropriates funds for salary increases and makes other cost adjustments for state officers and employees who are excluded from collective bargaining.	LBR, WAM

HB 1792 HD2 (HSCR748-04)	RELATING TO LABOR. Conforms state statutory provisions to the Temporary Extended Unemployment Compensation Act of 2002. Eliminates the fund restriction to UI administrative use only, so that monies can also be used for other purposes. Directs the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations to utilize federal Reed Act funds for unemployment compensation (LBR171) and to utilize other federal funds to supplant general fund appropriations in the same amount for general administration (LBR902) for fiscal year 2003-2004.
