Proposes to amend article I, section 10 of the Hawaii Constitution to allow a felony prosecution to be initiated by a criminal prosecuting officer through the filing of a signed written information setting forth the charge. |

RELATING TO EDUCATION. Amends article VII, section 12, and article X, section 1 of the Constitution of the State of Hawaii to authorize the State to issue special purpose revenue bonds and use the proceeds from the bonds to assist not-for-profit private elementary schools, secondary schools, colleges, and universities. |

Testimony may also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing. When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal. At the Chair's discretion, the time allotted for individual oral testimony may be limited.
If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for the disabled) please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior to the hearing so arrangements can be made.
