RELATING TO SOCIAL SERVICES.

Authorizes the development of a standardized process for identifying arrested individuals with minor children, provide counseling and information to them to assist them in making appropriate arrangements for the care of their children prior to sentencing, and provide the means for more parental involvement when it is in the best interest of the child.

RELATING TO GENERAL ASSISTANCE.

Requires review of medical records, prior to claim denial, if no mental, physical, or combination of disability is determined. Makes determination of no disability rebuttable. Requires DHS to give legible prompt notice of treatment recommendations, and gives treating doctors authority to determine whether the person has complied with treatment recommendations. Combines physical and mental disabilities for GA disability determinations.
