RELATING TO PRESCRIPTION DRUGS.

Authorizes the Department of Public Safety to purchase from Canada maintenance prescription drugs equivalent to FDA-approved drugs for its inmate population.

RELATING TO SOLICITATION OF FUNDS FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES.

Clarifies provisions regarding professional solicitors and professional fundraising counsel who contract with charitable organizations to conduct fundraising campaigns. Transfers responsibility for the oversight of such persons from DCCA to the AG which has general oversight over charitable trusts and charitable organizations.

RELATING TO INSURANCE.

Expands the authority of the Insurance Division's Insurance Fraud Investigations Branch to prevent, investigate, and prosecute both civilly and criminally insurance fraud relating to all lines of insurance within the State.

When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.
