Your Committee on Economic Development and Business Concerns, to which was referred H.R. No. 67 entitled:

"HOUSE RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, AND TOURISM TO DEVELOP INCREASED EXPERTISE TO ASSIST HAWAI`I BUSINESSES WITH PROCUREMENT OPPORTUNITIES WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND OTHER STATE GOVERNMENTS AND TERRITORIES,"

begs leave to report as follows:

The purpose of this Resolution is to develop increased expertise to assist Hawaii businesses with federal, state, and territorial procurement opportunities by:

(1) Requesting the Department of Business, Economic

Development, and Tourism to develop further expertise

within the department to assist Hawaii businesses with

federal, state, and territorial procurement

opportunities.

The Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism

submitted testimony supporting the intent of this Resolution.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Economic Development and Business Concerns that is attached to this report, your Committee concurs with the intent and purpose of H.R. No. 67 and recommends its adoption.
