Your Committee on Health, to which was referred Governor's Message No. 197, submitting for study and consideration the nomination of:

Disability and Communication Access Board

begs leave to report as follows:

Your Committee has reviewed the personal history, résumé, and statements submitted by the nominee, and finds the nominee to have the necessary qualifications to be appointed to the position of nomination.

Testimony in support of the nominee was received from the Disability and Communication Access Board.

William K. Koki, II, attended Kapiolani Community College (KCC) and is presently an Independent Living Specialist at the Hawaii Centers for Independent Living. Mr. Koki is a nationally certified sign language interpreter and instructor in the American Sign Language Interpreter Education Program at KCC. Mr. Koki is also a member of the Hawaii Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Interpreters and Transliteraters of Color, the advisory board of the Lanakila Rehabilitation Center, and the Hawaii Deaf-Blind Advisory Committee.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Health that is attached to this report, your Committee, after full consideration of the background, experience, and qualifications of the nominee, has found the nominee to be qualified for the position to which nominated and recommends that the Senate advise and consent to the nomination.
