Measure Title: RELATING TO ASSISTED LIVING FACILITIES.
Report Title: Assisted Living Facilities; Impact and Feasibility Study; Temporary Moratorium on Issuance of New Licenses for Condominiums or Cooperative Housing Corporation Projects to Become Assisted Living Facilities
Description: Requires the department of health (DOH) and the real estate commission to conduct a study and report to the 2004 legislature on the impact and feasibility of allowing condominiums and cooperative housing corporation projects to become licensed as assisted living facilities to provide assisted living services for residents. Imposes a moratorium on the issuance by DOH of any new license for any condominium or cooperative housing corporation project as an assisted living facility, until the legislature acts on the report submitted by the department of health and the real estate commission, or 7/1/04, whichever occurs first.
