Attaches the council to the lieutenant governor's office for administrative purposes. Appropriates unspecified sums to the lieutenant governor for Weed and Seed programs and for grant writing services. (SD1) |

RELATING TO THE PUBLIC LAND TRUST. Establishes the Public Lands Resolution Task Force to work with the Office of Hawaii Affairs to seek a resolution of the issues related to the ceded land revenue entitlements of OHA and other related matters. Provides for legislative, executive, federal, and public representation on the task force. (SD1) |

RELATING TO FAMILY LEAVE. Applies the Family Leave Law to the State, any of its political subdivisions, any instrumentality of the State or its political subdivisions. Requires an employer who provides sick leave for employees to permit employees to use up to 10 days of accrued and available sick leave for family leave purposes unless a collective bargaining agreement authorizes the use of more. Clarifies that an employer is not required to diminish an employee's accrued and available sick leave below the amount required pursuant to Section 392-41, HRS. (HB389 HD2) |
