RELATING TO CORPORATE DISCLOSURE.

Requires: (1) department of taxation to report on tax benefits for development assistance programs; (2) counties to disclose real property tax reductions and abatements; (3) disclosure of development assistance; (4) recapture of assistance from recipients who fail to achieve jobs, wage, and benefit goals. RELATING TO ENTERPRISE ZONE.

Directs the governor to work with the city and county of Honolulu to create additional enterprise zones in areas where commercial real estate have a vacancy rate of fifteen per cent or more. This designation will last for two years from 07/01/2003 to 06/30/2005. (HB685 HD2)

RELATING TO THE ECONOMIC DIVERSIFICATION AUTHORITY.

Establishes the economic diversification authority within the department of business, economic development, and tourism for administrative purposes. (HB1579 HD1)
