Congress has recently approved a major housing initiative for the Hawaii region that will enable the Department of the Navy (DoN) to partner with private investors and developers to provide high quality, affordable housing to area military families. Through this Public-Private Venture (PPV), the DoN intends to ensure that safe, good quality, energy efficient, well-managed, affordable housing will be available to military families stationed in Hawaii, over the long term. This briefing will cover the Navy's family housing recapitalization program in Hawaii.
