RELATING TO THE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM.

Authorizes a one-time lump sum payment to pensioners who were between ages 65 and 70 and who had at least 20 years of service as of June 30, 2002. Appropriates funds.

RELATING TO THE COMPENSATION OF OFFICIALS IN THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH OF STATE GOVERNMENT.

Establishes an executive salary commission to review the salaries of the Governor, the Lieutenant Governor, the department heads of the Executive Branch, executive officers (other than the president of the University of Hawaii and the Superintendent of Education), and the deputy department heads, which are currently set by statute. Provides for the salary determinations of the commission to take effect at the beginning of the next fiscal year unless rejected by the Legislature by three-fourths vote of the members of each house of the Legislature.

RELATING TO THE DEFINITION OF "MEDICAL CARE" UNDER WORKERS' COMPENSATION LAW.

Amends the definition of "medical care", "medical services", or "medical supplies" in workers' compensation law to include services provided by occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants; replaces reference to "masseur" with "licensed massage therapist."

When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.
