RELATING TO PUBLIC EMPLOYEE HEALTH BENEFITS. Extends authority of the Hawaii Public Employees Health Fund to contract for health and life insurance benefits from 7/1/03 to 7/1/04. Enables orderly transition of the Hawaii Employer-Union Health Benefits Trust Fund to a single health benefits delivery system for public employees. Provides the Hawaii Employer-Union Health Benefits Trust Fund the needed time, flexibility, and authority to develop health benefits plans and the administrative systems to manage the new program. |
