The committee will conduct a hearing in accordance with S.R. No. 147 entitled "Requesting the Senate Committee on Judiciary and Hawaiian Affairs and two members of Senate leadership to conduct an interim study of the Senate rules regarding decision-making by standing committees and conference procedures regarding decision-making by conference committees." Mr. Mark Bennett, Attorney General of the State of Hawai`i will address the Constitutional and legal ramifications for consideration by the Committee.
Persons wishing to testify should submit 20 copies of their testimony to the committee clerk, Room 214.
If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids and/or services to participate in the public hearing process of the Legislature (i.e., sign language interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for the disabled), please contact the committee clerk at least 24 hours prior to the hearing so arrangements can be made.
