RELATING TO LONG-TERM CARE. Establishes a long-term care defined benefit program financed through payroll deductions. The bill incorporates a tax credit for taxpayers who own or purchase additional long-term care policies. (Proposed SD1) (Similar to SB 1088) |

RELATING TO LONG-TERM CARE. Provides tax credit to resident taxpayers, regardless of adjusted gross income, for long-term care insurance premiums at lesser of $2,500 or 50 per cent of the amount of the insurance premium paid. If the tax credit is claimed, a medical expense deduction for long-term care insurance cost is prohibited. (HB90 HD1) (Similar to SB 1399) |
