RELATING TO EDUCATION.

Allows the board of regents of the UH to operate new century charter schools that use the Hawaiian language as their primary medium of education to establish the basis for a laboratory school program in the college of Hawaiian language.

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE HAWAIIAN IMMERSION PROGRAM.

Makes appropriation for the Hawaiian immersion program. (Senate companion bill: SB 636)

When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for the disabled) please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior to the hearing so arrangements can be made.
