The purpose of this informational briefing is to discuss the current impact of the cruise industry on Hawaii's economy and potential actions to stimulate continued growth of the cruise industry. This briefing also will provide information on the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the State of Hawaii and the North West Cruiseship Association (NWCA) on cruise industry environmental management practices and procedures. Representatives from the Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism, North West Cruiseship Association, and other stakeholders will make presentations. |
