WHEREAS, the future of the State of Hawaii rests in the hands of our youth who face unique and formidable challenges, and the Legislature is proud to acknowledge the achievements of the conscientious and energetic individuals who epitomize the best and brightest of Hawaii's high school students; and

WHEREAS, one such individual, TULI PETERS, goes far beyond the everyday demands of a high school student to provide exemplary services to Kahuku High School as demonstrated by her participation, dedication, and commitment to numerous school activities; and

WHEREAS, in addition to her numerous responsibilities, TULI PETERS' maturity and professionalism demonstrate the highest standards of excellence, serving as a role-model for future leaders and athletes; and

WHEREAS, an exemplary Kahuku High School student, outstanding scholar, and exceptional athlete, TULI PETERS has been distinguished as the 2002 Gatorade High School Volleyball Player of the Year; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the Twenty-second Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2003, that this body hereby commends and congratulates TULI PETERS on being named the 2002 Gatorade High

School Volleyball Player of the Year and for her outstanding achievements, commitment, and dedication to her school and community, and extends to her its warmest aloha and best wishes for continued success in all future endeavors.
