RESOLUTION
SUPPORTING PRESIDENT BUSH'S LEADERSHIP IN HIS EFFORTS TO DEFEND THE UNITED STATES AGAINST SADDAM HUSSEIN.
WHEREAS, the dictatorship of Iraq has continued to develop weapons of mass destruction in violation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1441; and
WHEREAS, the dictator of Iraq, Saddam Hussein, has demonstrated a willingness to use weapons of mass destruction against neighboring nations and the citizens of Iraq; and
WHEREAS, Saddam Hussein threatens the Middle East and the global economy with the threat to use weapons of mass destruction; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the Twenty-second Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2003, the Senate concurring, that the Legislature expresses our support for the leadership of President George W. Bush, the President's Cabinet, and the men and women of the United States Armed Forces for their courage and decision to remove Saddam Hussein from power; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Concurrent Resolution be transmitted to President George W. Bush.
