The aftermath of September 11, 2001, has shown us how important travel and tourism are to the global economy, and specifically, the vulnerability of Hawaii’s economy when its tourism industry is negatively impacted. The purpose of this briefing is for committee members to receive status on business and inputs to how the State might further aid businesses in the industry during its recovery. The following are scheduled to have a representative appear:
