Appropriates funds for respite care services for families of individuals with special needs.

Appropriates $3,750,000 to Hawaii's system of nonprofit, community-based health-care providers specializing in preventive care for the medically underserved.

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR NEW POSITIONS FOR ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICES IN THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES.

Appropriates $632,214 in FY 2002-2003 for 13 positions to staff adult protective services in department of human services.
