RELATING TO FARMING.

Amends definition of "farming operation" to include silviculture; provides that a farming operation is not a nuisance if it complies with generally accepted agricultural and management practices; establishes a rebuttable presumption that a farming operation is not a nuisance. (SD1)

Provides that any person who willfully or knowingly damages any crop, including silvicultural crops or agricultural commodities that is known to be intended for personal, commercial, or research and development purposes shall be liable for twice the market value of the crop damaged or destroyed. Extends validity of temporary instruction permit from 180 days to one year; requires permit holders to take the skill test within a year. (SD1)

RELATING TO the united states selective service system.

Requires an applicant subject to the Military Selective Service Act to be in compliance prior to obtaining or renewing a motor vehicle driver's license or instruction permit. Relating to employment practices.

Eliminates exemption of individuals employed under contract with another person as a domestic in the home, from definition of "employment" in law regarding discriminatory employment practices. (SB448 HD1)

Amends the whistleblowers' protection act by increasing the statute of limitations period from 90 days to 180 days. (SB449 HD1)

Deletes language that has been interpreted as limiting legislative bodies' subpoena power; deletes obsolete reference.
