RELATING TO STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES

Requires the department of education, through its Comprehensive Student Support System, to adopt best practices, disclose potential conflicts of interest as part of the individualized education program (IEP) process, and monitor services ordered through the IEPs. Establishes a joint legislative taskforce to monitor, assess, and support the DOE's implementation of this Act and meeting the goals of the Comprehensive Student Support System

Allows the Hawaii health care system corporation to enhance the community network of health care facilities throughout the State by building on the strengths of the individuals facilities, designing services more suited to meet the health care needs of the specific communities in a timely fashion, and maintaining quality standards of care
