Review of status of Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS) Chapter 323C (Privacy of Health Care Information Act).
(Interested persons are invited to submit comments on issues relating to the above agenda item, including the need for a state law governing medical records privacy; the impact of current or proposed federal legislation; recommendations for changes to the current law; status of the ongoing work of the medical privacy task force; and other pertinent issues.)
Members of the public are also invited to comment on the need for privacy legislation in other areas affecting consumers in Hawaii (e.g. financial, insurance, or business transactions, etc.)
People wishing to testify should submit 15 copies of their testimony to the clerk at the time of the hearing.
