relating to the board of education.

Establishes a commission to design and recommend a means of electing members of the board of education.

relating to student transportation.

Provides for bus transportation home for students involved in after school extracurricular activities.

(Please note: The Committee on TMG deferred decision making on these measures.)

relating to cyberspace entrepreneurs academies.

Appropriates funds to the department of education to establish an academy relating to cyberspace entrepreneurs in the public school system.

SB 140

relating to classroom learning materials.

Requires funding for classroom learning materials, such as textbooks, to be considered standard workload increase items when planning and budgeting for public schools. Appropriates funds to replace lost or destroyed classroom learning materials, and to repair damaged or broken classroom learning materials.
