RELATING TO THE RELIEF OF CERTAIN PERSONS' CLAIMS AGAINST THE STATE AND PROVIDING APPROPRIATIONS THEREFOR.

Provides funds for the payment of claims against the State for refunds of taxes, for judgments and settlements, and for other miscellaneous payments as provided by chapters 37, 661 and 662, HRS. (HB513 HD1)

RELATING TO ANTITRUST.

Establishes the Antitrust Trust Fund. Authorizes the deposit of 10 per cent of all antitrust judgments and settlements received by the State into the Trust Fund, and the deposit of up to $150,000 from the Attorney General's general fund appropriation to capitalize the Trust Fund. (HB533 HD2)

PROPOSING AMENDMENTS TO ARTICLE VII OF THE HAWAII CONSTITUTION REGARDING AN EMERGENCY AND BUDGET RESERVE FUND.

Proposes to establish a fund for emergency and budget reserve purposes and to clarify that appropriations to the Emergency and Budget Reserve Fund are excluded from the general fund expenditure ceiling and that appropriations from the Emergency and Budget Reserve Fund are included. (HB575 HD2)

RELATING TO ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF INCOMPETENT PERSONS.

Includes first and second degree penal sanctions against any person who intentionally or recklessly causes bodily injury to a person who is unable to care for himself because of a physical or mental disease, disorder, or defect. (HB645 HD1)
