RELATING TO THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN SPORTS COMPLEXES TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII.

Transfers the functions of the Hawaii Stadium Authority to oversee Aloha Stadium and the Kapolei recreational sports complex to the UH, and transfer the land upon which Aloha Stadium is constructed to the UH.

RELATING TO A TASK FORCE AND MASTER PLAN ON COMPUTER AND TECHNOLOGY UTILIZATION IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

Mandates the DOE to establish a task force on the utilization of computers and technology in public school classrooms and to create a master plan for computer and technology utilization.

Appropriates funds to the public library system to fund a program to increase electronic access to government information and services in areas with limited access.

Persons wishing to testify should submit 40 copies of their testimony to the committee clerk, Room 220, State Capitol, by noon of the day preceding the hearing. Testimony arriving after that time will be considered late testimony. All persons giving oral testimony will be required to submit written testimony. Testimony may also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free for neighbor islands), prior to noon deadline. When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for the disabled) please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior to the hearing so arrangements can be made.

Public Folder. A folder labeled "Public Folder" containing the measures and testimonies for the hearing will be available for shared use by members of the public.
