Your Committee on Economic Development and Technology, to which was referred S.B. No. 302 entitled:
"A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO TECHNOLOGY,"
begs leave to report as follows:
The purpose of this short form bill is to amend the laws relating to technology.
Your Committee has amended this bill by inserting language creating a new chapter of the Hawaii Revised Statutes mandating universal access to information technology equipment and software of the State or any state-assisted organization for the blind or visually impaired.
As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Economic Development and Technology that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the action to report out S.B. No. 302, as amended herein, and recommends that it pass Second Reading in the form attached hereto as S.B. No. 302, S.D. 1, and be recommitted to the Committee on Economic Development and Technology, for further consideration.
