STAND. COM. REP. NO.893
Honolulu, Hawaii
, 2001
RE: S.B. No. 1209
Honorable Robert Bunda
President of the Senate
Twenty-First State Legislature
Regular Session of 2001
State of Hawaii
Sir:
Your Committee on Ways and Means, to which was referred S.B. No. 1209 entitled:
"A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO CLAIMS AGAINST THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII AND PROVIDING APPROPRIATIONS THEREFOR,"
begs leave to report as follows:
The purpose of this measure is to appropriate general funds to pay claims against the University of Hawaii.
Your Committee finds that these claims for relief are against the university system, or its officers or employees. Any sums payable as interest are limited to interest accrued during the period between the applicable judgment and thirty days after the bill becomes law.
As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Ways and Means that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of S.B. No. 1209 and recommends that it pass Second Reading and be placed on the calendar for Third Reading.
Respectfully submitted on behalf of the members of the Committee on Ways and Means,
