PAUL C. AKEO, for a term to expire June 30, 2005,

Your Committee received testimony from the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs in support of the nomination.
Paul C. Akeo has a bachelor's degree in criminal justice management from Chaminade University. Mr. Akeo is a licensed self-employed private investigator with a background in law enforcement and extensive experience as an investigator with the Attorney General's Office and the Department of Health.
As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Commerce, Consumer Protection and Housing that is attached to this report, your Committee, after full consideration of the background, character, experience, and qualifications of the nominee, has found the nominee to be qualified for the position to which nominated and recommends that the Senate advise and consent to the nomination.
