Your Committee on Commerce, Consumer Protection and Housing, to which was referred Governor's Message No. 221, submitting for study and consideration the nomination of:

BOARD OF ACUPUNCTURE

GERALDINE S. WADE, D.A., for a term to expire June 30, 2005,

begs leave to report as follows:

Your Committee finds that Geraldine S. Wade was educated at the University of Hawaii Oriental Medical Institute in the University of Health Science. Employed since 1993 with Advanced Medical Acupuncture, Inc., Ms. Wade is current president of the Hawaii Acupuncture Association.

Your Committee further finds that the nominee has been appointed based upon her credentials, integrity, and a desire to improve Hawaii's health care through her service on the Board of Acupuncture.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Commerce, Consumer Protection and Housing that are attached to this report, your Committee, after full consideration of the background, character, experience, and qualifications of the nominee, has found the nominee to be qualified for the position to which nominated and recommends that the Senate advise and consent to the nomination.
