A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to crime victim compensation.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Act 278, Session Laws of Hawaii 1999, is amended by amending section 7 to read as follows:
"SECTION 7. This Act shall take effect upon its approval; provided that Section 4 shall take effect on July 1, 1999[, and shall be repealed on July 1, 2001]."
SECTION 2. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on June 30, 2001.
