A BILL FOR AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PAPA OLA LOKAHI FOR NATIVE HAWAIIAN HEALTH.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $650,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2001-2002, to Papa Ola Lokahi to support activities in Hawaiian health in prevention programs through the Native Hawaiian Health Care Systems and the Native Hawaiian Health Care Centers and in research programs and data and information systems development.
SECTION 2. The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of health for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2001.
