A BILL FOR AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE nineteenth SENATORIAL DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $ , or so much thereof as may be necessary, for fiscal year 2001-2002, for the following capital improvements in the nineteenth senatorial district:
1. Honowai Elementary School, Oahu
Chain link fence $10,000
2. Kanoelani Elementary School, Oahu
A. Additional doors for twenty-two classrooms $
B. Purchasing six hundred square feet of
Waipio Gentry park to provide additional
Parking.
Total funding $
3. Waipahu Elementary School
Improvements to campus facilities, including
building alarm system and screens, classroom
ceiling fans, public address system, asphalt
court resurfacing, and cafeteria stage curtains, flooring, lighting, and sound system $200,000
4. Waipahu Intermediate School
A. Design, construction, and furnishing of
cafeteria. $1,955,000
B. Design, construction, and furnishing of eight-classroom building. $2,060,000
Total funding $4,015,000
5. Waipahu High School
Removal and replacement of stadium bleachers
and refurbishment of press box and concession
stand. $1,000,000
6. Waipahu Community Adult Health Care Center
and Youth Day Care Center $950,000
7. August Ahrens Elementary School
Ten Classroom Building $3,000,000
SECTION 2. The appropriations made for capital improvement projects authorized in this Act which are unexpended or unencumbered as of June 30, 2003, shall lapse as of that date.
SECTION 3. The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of accounting and general services for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2001.
