A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO THE QUEST PROGRAM.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 346, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§346- QUEST prescription drug reimbursement limits. Assistance under the QUEST program for prescription drugs shall be limited to the reimbursable amount for comparable generic drugs if such generic drugs are determined by the department to be available throughout the State. This limit shall not apply to prescription drugs with no generic counterpart."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
