Appropriates $160,000 ($80,000 per fiscal year) for the fiscal biennium for rural dental services. Funds are appropriated to the Office of Social Ministry's Mobile Care Health Project to pay a full-time dentist for the mobile care vans.

A BILL FOR AN ACT

SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $80,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2001-2002, and the same sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2002-2003, for a full-time dentist for the Mobile Care vans of the Office of Social Ministry's Mobile Care Health Project.

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of health for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2001.
