A BILL FOR AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE twenty-first SENATORIAL DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $19,789,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, for fiscal year 2001-2002, for the following capital improvements in the twenty-first senatorial district:
1. Barbers Point elementary school
Library – air conditioning and necessary landscaping

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1, with the exception of items 20 and 21, shall be expended by the department of accounting and general services for the purposes of this Act. The sum appropriated for items 20 and 21 in section 1 shall be expended by the department of transportation for the purpose of this Act.
SECTION 3. The appropriations made for the capital improvement projects authorized by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal year for which the appropriations are made; provided that all moneys from the appropriations unencumbered as of June 30, 2004, shall lapse as of that date.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2001.
