A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

RELATING TO SMALL BOAT HARBORS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. Chapter 200, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

"§200-    Designated moorage for commercial fishing. (a) The department shall designate temporary moorage not to exceed ninety feet to be used by commercial fishing vessels in each small boat harbor, for loading and unloading for a period not to exceed three hours, except as provided in section 200-9(b).

(b) The department may adopt rules pursuant to chapter 91 to implement this section."

SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
