A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the fortieth representative district.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenue of the State of Hawaii for the fiscal year 2000-2001:

1. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:

A. Kaala elementary school, Oahu

Construction for electrical upgrade to support additional equipment and classroom lighting.

Total funding $104,000

B. Kaala elementary school, Oahu

Design, construction, and equipment to install air conditioning in the library and computer center.

Design $10,300

Construction $257,500

Equipment $206,000

Total funding $473,800

C. Helemano elementary school, Oahu

Design, construction, and equipment for a library.

Design $200,000

Construction $2,235,000

Equipment $50,000

Total funding $2,235,000

D. Iliahi elementary school, Oahu

Construction to install air conditioning, new mechanical room, windows, doors and a bell in the library.

E. Wahiawa elementary school, Oahu

Design and construction for a new cafeteria kitchen floor.

Design $25,000

F. Wahiawa elementary school, Oahu

Design and construction to repaint the exterior and resurface the walkways of buildings C, D, E, G, H, and the cafeteria as well as the interior of the cafeteria.

Design and construction to resurface the playcourt.

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in Section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2001.
