A BILL FOR AN ACT
making an appropriation to match federal funds for the hawaii forestry and commuNities initiative.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $200,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2001-2002, for the Hawaii forestry and communities initiative; provided that no funds shall be made available under this Act unless federal matching funds for this purpose are first made available on a dollar-for-dollar basis.
SECTION 2. The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of land and natural resources for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2001.
