A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the sixteenth representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2001-2002.
1. To be expended by the Department of Accounting and General Services:
A. Aina Haina Elementary School, Oahu
(1) Upgrade electrical wiring in all
classrooms, administration
buildings, and all other buildings,
installation of air conditioning
for computer lab. 500,000
Total Funding 500,000
B. Wailupe Valley Elementary School, Oahu
(1) Plan and design a concrete walkway and
bridge for pedestrians from Wailupe
Valley Elementary school to Wailupe
Valley Neighborhood Park crossing
Kului Stream. 100,000
(2) Construction of a concrete walkway and
bridge for pedestrians from Wailupe
Valley Elementary school to Wailupe
Valley Neighborhood Park crossing
Kului Stream. 200,000
Total Funding 300,000
(C) Niu Valley Middle School, Oahu
(1) Enclose campus with chain link fence
equipped with gates and walk throughs.
Installation 12,000
Total Funding 12,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2001.
