A BILL FOR AN ACT
authorizing the issuance of general obligations bonds and making an appropriation for capitol improvements projects in the 32nd representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $8,359,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, and the same sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated for fiscal year 2001-2001 for the following projects:
1. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:
A. Radford High School
Construction of improvements to three science classrooms.
Design and Construction $ 300,000
Total funding $ 300,000
B. Radford High School
Construction of an improved home economics classroom, including the installation of new appliances.
Design, construction and
appliances $ 150,000
Total funding $ 150,000
C. Radford High School
Installation of new water fountains and the demolition of the existing water troughs.
Design and construction $ 50,000
Total funding $ 50,000
D. Radford High School
Renovate and improve wrestling room, including the installation of new floor mats and complete wall padding.
Design and construction $ 50,000
Padding $ 15,000
Total funding $ 65,000
E. Radford High School
Renovate and repair football locker room to include new lockers.
Design and construction $ 400,000
Total funding $ 400,000
F. Radford High School
Renovate and repair girl's locker room.
Design and construction $ 150,000

G. Radford High School
Replace five portable classroom.
Design, construction and
installation $2,000,000

Renovate boys and girls restrooms.

Renovation and installation of an all-weather track.

Construction of a training/ rehabilitation classroom to expand health services curriculum.

Renovate and improve the weight training room.

N. Radford High School
Construction of restrooms for athletic facilities.

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated to the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of the Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2001.
