A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the twenty-third representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2001-2002.
1. To be expended by the University of Hawaii:
A. University of Hawaii Manoa, Oahu
Acquisition of land situated in northwest Manoa valley, including Paradise Park.

2. To be expended by the department of land and natural resources:
A. Manoa road, near entrance to Lyon Arboretum, Oahu
Design and construction to install metal gate.

3. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:
A. Manoa elementary school, Oahu
Design, construction, and equipment for a covered playcourt, including ground and site improvements, equipment, and appurtenances.

B. Manoa elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction to improve the existing electrical system.

Design and construction to widen existing fire access road and provide parking stalls in intermittent sections makai of the road.

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agencies for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2001.
