A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE NINETEENTH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2001-2002.

1. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:

A. Kaimuki Intermediate School, Oahu

1. Design and construction to air condition the classrooms.

Design $ 15,000

Construction $ 35,000

Total funding $ 50,000

2. Design and construction for air conditioning and solar energy power system for building R; equipment and appurtenances.

Design $ 40,000

Construction $ 624,000

Total funding $ 664,000

3. Renovation and upgrade of computer lab and wiring.

Plans $ 1,000

Design $ 5,000

Construction $ 39,000

Equipment $ 55,000

Total funding $ 100,000

B. President Thomas Jefferson Elementary School,

1. Design and construction to air condition the classrooms and administration building.

1. Minor CIP and renovation of classrooms, offices, laboratories, and other related spaces.

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the capital improvement projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2001.
