A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE 2nd Representative DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2001-2002.
1. To be expended by the department of public works, county of Hawaii:
A. Palai Stream Interceptor:
Interception of Palai Stream at
the makai boundary of the Hilo
Municipal Golf Course and piping
flows underground along Haihai
Street and disposing into the
4-mile Creek Flood Control.
Construction: $30,000,000
Total funding: $30,000,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2001.
