A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CONTRACTORS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 444-11.1, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending subsection (c) to read as follows:
"(c) The board shall not restore the forfeited license until satisfactory proof of continuous liability insurance and bond coverage is submitted to the board as required by this section. The board shall not restore a forfeited license of any contractor who fails, refuses, or neglects to acquire or reinstate expired or canceled workers' compensation insurance within sixty days of the date of the expiration or cancellation of the contractor's workers' compensation insurance."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
