              Establishes  a  civil  cause  of  action,  provides  for  enhanced
              criminal penalties and probation  requirements, and provides for a
              reporting mechanism to  compile,  track,  and  analyze hate crimes
              data.
HB 744        RELATING TO CRIME.                                         JHA,FIN
              Establishes a task force on hate crimes and requires reporting and
              training requirements with respect to hate crimes.
HB 1988       RELATING TO CRIME.                                         JHA,FIN
              Establishes enhanced criminal  penalties  for  hate crimes against
              persons  because  of  race,  color,  religion,  ancestry, national
              origin,  gender,   transgender,   sexual   orientation,   age,  or
              disability; provides a reporting  mechanism to compile, track, and
              analyze hate crime data.
HB 2121       RELATING TO ROBBERY.                                           JHA
              Includes the theft of a purse  under the offense of robbery in the
              first degree.
HB 2830       RELATING TO CRIME.                                             JHA
              Clarifies  cumulative  punishment  for  both  a  felony  involving
              firearm possession and firearms possession.
HB 2859       RELATING TO INCOMPETENT PERSONS.                               JHA
              Requires a  reckless  act  to  commit  offense  of endangering the
              welfare of an incompetent person.
HB 2058       RELATING TO NEGLIGENT HOMICIDE.                                JHA
              Deletes the  requirement  that  the  person  must  be  operating a
              vehicle to commit the crime of negligent homicide.
HB 1805       RELATING TO THEFT.                                             JHA
              Raises threshold dollar amount for theft in the second degree from
              $300 to $750.
HB 998        RELATING TO SIMULATING LEGAL PROCESS.                          JHA
              Creates the  offense  of  simulating  legal  process,  which would
              impose a criminal  penalty  on  persons  who  purport  to have the
              authority to demand payment of money  or cause others to submit to
              the putative authority of a document.
HB 2412       RELATING TO CONTEMPT.                                          JHA
              Creates a petty  misdemeanor  offense  under the criminal contempt
              statute to cover instances  where  a person recklessly disobeys or
              resists process, injunction or other court mandate.

HB 2271, HD1  RELATING TO DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES.            HSH/HLT,JHA,FIN
HSCR 19-00    Makes an appropriation  to  match  federal  funds for Medicaid for
              home and  community  based  care  for  persons  with developmental
              disabilities.
HB 2648       RELATING TO PROBATION.                                     JHA,FIN
              Requires  a  court,  upon  sentencing  a  defendant  to probation,
              deferring a guilty plea, or  deferring  a plea of nolo contendere,
              to order the defendant to pay  a probation service fee of $100 for
              a term of more than one  year,  or  $50  for a term of one year or
              less.  Establishes the probation services special fund.

              Supports mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions.

              emissions.

              Modifies requirements for the  installation of solar water heaters

              raising the income eligibility  of  the medically needy program to
